Northern Valley Continues to Strengthen Students’ College and Career Readiness
As part of the Northern Valley Regional High School District’s (NVRHS) Career Pathways initiative, students will have additional opportunities to explore college and career interests this spring. In addition to the curricular framework designed by the district over the past few years, and NJDOE Biomedical grant program, students and administrators have been working hard to organize a Career Day. The Career Day will take place on February 10 at both the Demarest and Old Tappan campuses. Students will have an opportunity to hear from keynote speakers and participate in small breakout sessions lead by professionals in various fields.
In addition to the Career Day, students and staff have been working on a Virtual Elective Class Fair to assist students in selecting courses that peak their interest. Short videos are being developed to give students a visual representation of electives that align with their potential college and career focus. Students will be able to view the videos prior to the spring scheduling process.
If you are interested in participating in the Career Day on February 10, please contact Gayla Brewer at Northern Valley Demarest at 201-768-3200 ext. 13070 or Jennifer Mezzina at Northern Valley Old Tappan 201-784-1600 ext. 24223.
