Dr. Bruce Sabatini, Principal at Northern Valley Regional High School at Old Tappan and Mr. Jonathan Harris, NVRHS District Supervisor of Business Education, are proud of the NVOT DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America).
The NVOT DECA Club, advised and accompanied by Mr. Antonio Marino, qualified twenty-seven students for the State Career Development Conference in Atlantic City on Feb. 22 to 24, 2017. The qualified students were based on their performance in the regional competition conducted at Ramapo College. In Atlantic City, three students placed in the top six in their event and qualified to compete at the International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, California from April 25 to 30, 2017. These students are junior Sari Abolafia - 1st place in Food Marketing; Dana Schoolsky - 3rd place in Principles of Finance; and Addie Patterson - 3rd place in Accounting Applications.
Additionally, the following students made the final round of competition: Hayley Martin and Alison Lee in Advertising Campaign and Joann Kim and Kiana Gomez in Fashion Merchandising Promotion.
The following students were also given awards for their role play presentations: Christopher Bazela, Zach Russo, Dana Schoolsky, Addie Patterson, Sari Abolafia, Kiana Gomez and Joann Kim.
