As 2023 comes to an end. Here are The Top Athletic Highlights for NV/Demarest:
1) Girls Volleyball State Group 2 Champions.
2) Boys Track and Field State Group 2 Champions.
3) Girls Tennis Captured their 7th Consecutive North 1 Group 2 State Sectional Championship.
4) Boys Indoor Track and Field North 1 Group 2 State Sectional Champions.
5) Demarest Athletics captured 7 Big North National Divisional Championships.
6) Karen Ayvaliotis was named Bergen County Administrative Assistant of the Year by The Bergen County Director of Athletics Association.
7) Taylor Miller was named New Jersey Volleyball Player of the Year.
8) Jack Attali was named North Jersey Track Athlete of the Year.
9) Mike Theuerkauf and Beth Powell were named Bergen County Coach of the Year in Track and Field and Volleyball.
9) New Artificial Turf Field was installed at NV/Demarest.
10) Over 15 Student-Athletes committed to continue their athletic career at the collegiate level.
11) NV/Demarest hosted The District 2 Wrestling Tournament and Bergen County Tournaments that included Tennis, Baseball and Girl’s Basketball.
12) Boys and Girls Track and Field were both County B Champions and Bergen County Relay Champions.
13) The NV/Demarest Wrestling Room was renovated.
14) Installed our new Wrestling Spotlight for matches.
